Psycho got the blues

Howdy folks!

Those of you that do follow my posts might have noticed that it's been long since I posted anything in my "Time Vault" thread, seems that I'm slacking again.....

Well it is true in a sense. I am rather busy these days, have to solve various problems in real life, and combined with the sense of "standing at the crossroads" with poker the result is that I play very scarcely, can't really focus on my game and much less write my thoughts about it.

Anyway, I hope I don't lose my "knack" completely and I'll try to stay true to my commitment at least as far as the blog is concerned. The thread will have to wait as there are no impressive hands to show and whine or boast about them. Indication of this is that checking my Hand History folder I discovered that I have played only 5 tourneys since October started. Less than a day's total in better times.

"Why the crossroads?", you might wonder. Well, I feel like I have done a great deal of free-rolling, shown lots of patience, commitment and consistence, made my "zero to hero" race a reality and at this point I need to  change something in order to not lose interest in the game. I mean after a certain point you get fed-up from losing to the "russian nuts" or to four-, three-, two- and even one-outters. Been there, seen that, done that even won that.

One line of thinking was to keep it up until the end of the year at least to stay true to my "something out of nothing" goal for the Time Vault Challenge. The other is starting some 25 cents MTT's or even micro stakes cash games. Now that the "nothing" is turned to a significant "something" I can afford it and try to advance my game to the next level. I really do not know how to proceed, I have to fight inertia and plot the next course but I do not feel ready yet. So here it is:

I have to go someplace, I don't feel like staying at the same anymore, but I don't know which place that might be.

In order not to tire you any more, here's what  I think:

I'll abstain from poker for a few days, one or two weeks and let the thoughts settle. I'll be back with a new course or "back on track" with the old one.

Good Luck at the tables!!!
