Updated goals

As we near the end of March, I'm working hard on a lot of different things and am pleased with my progress in some areas, and not so much in others, but I'm working on it and studying, and practicing, and that's a good thing. I'm currently in Hitman's NLHE Cash Game Mentoring class and K'blam, now I understand why I've been such a horrid cash game player to the point I gave up on it. I'm also hoping to finish up the Basic section of the General CoS by the end of the month when I finish reading "Your Worst Poker Enemy." Then I think, I'm going to work hard on getting ready for the PSO event that's in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to meeting so many of you, but please forgive me in advance, it sometimes takes me a few missteps before I can remember names and put them to faces. : ) Okay, update on my goals for the year..... Goal 1. Get in better shape - Stamina is a bit better, still large and loving, but still working on it. I wonder if there's an exercise room at the Majestic... hmmmm. Goal 2. Be more consistent in the PSO sattelite leagues each month and take first place in either League 1 or 2 at least 3 to 5 times this year at a minimum. - March has been a total bomb for my satellite league results, but I'm seeing the areas where I'm making the biggest mistakes, and I'm working on plugging those leaks. Goal 3. Work on my patience and discipline when playing poker. - I think reading some of the Schoonmaker books will help me in this area. We'll see Goal 4. Be consistently in the top 10 in the Gold League. So far, I'm not too far away from being in the top 10 for march in the gold league. I'm positioned in a good spot and March may be the first month I get into the top 10, so I'll be working on this all year. Goal 5. Successfully complete both the General and NLHE CoS sometime in the middle of the year. (may have to push this back a bit and have the general done by middle of year and NLHE near the end of year) - Progress is slow, but I plan to work on everything in the course and will go back to different parts for refresher. Goal 6. Play in one live event tournament by December. (April is gonna take care of this one) Goal 7. Memorize the poker math that I need in order to help my game. (still working on it), I think I need to create flash cards and just memorize the important facts. Anyone got some? Bring em to the April event and I'll luv ya forever. : ) Goal 8. Improve my Monthly PSO ranking to the high 60's/low 70's. (need a lot of work here) Nearing the end of March, I'm currently around 68.03%, with a few days left in March, I think I can hold on, but I'd like to push it above 70. Goal 9. Put my ego in check and be nicer at the poker tables regardless of how bad the beat. (I'm getting closer to being nicer, but some people make this one very tough to accomplish). I'm actually typing NH, more than donkey now a days... we'll see how long this lasts. Goal 10. By years end, be a consistent player in each of the poker disciplines that I enjoy. Omaha, Stud, Razz, Limit, and No Limit Hold'em, so that I can be one of the best H.O.R.S.E players at PSO (We'll see). Well, gla and laters Ric, AkA Punky159
