In this mornings session I finished 595th my best finish for awhile. I played tight as directed AA and KK. Luckily I was dealt AA twice in half an hour, went all in and more than doubled up. I went to the break with my chips standing at over 5000.

If I can manage at least a top 2000 place this afternoon I should move up in rank a bit.

Er well not quite - I went out in 7149th place going all in from UTG with KK. This was a mistake first because it wipes out this mornings great result and secondly because even though I had KK, I should have min raised or just called and waited to see who called. BUT it was a bad beat someone with a pair of 9's hit a 9 on the river. I could have had aces. er not sure? I probably should have called and folded.

Not quite my worst result this month but worst but one! Still I only lost -12 points for my worse defeat so hopefully it won't cripple me?
