The Big Bang Saviour

By: Rob Sharona @ 17:47 (EDT) / 498 / Comment ( 3 )

It's been a little quiet on my blog recently.  That's because I rather foolishly spent my ENTIRE bankroll on Zoom 0.01/0.02 tables when I came in from a night out COMPLETELY DRUNK.

In the morning I was devastated.  All that work to get it up from nothing and all I had to show for it was a banging headache.

Still I got back to the freerolls.  I still had The Big Bang tournament coming up which I had a ticket for thanks to some previous blog entries.  In fact I had 3 of those Big Bang stamps, which I still maintain should have entitled me to some rebuys and addons, but I don't make the rules!  A result here would put me right back on track.

ArtySmokesPS advised me that generally lots of people adopt a very nitty attitude, and this proved absolutely true.  I was able to pick up a lot of pots by raising and reraising quite light to pick up lots of tiny pots.  I was getting paid off with my straights and overpairs, and eventually finished in a respectable 47th place out of 358 runners, good for $20.00!

Thanks to the PSO guys and girls who popped up to rail me.  Here's hoping I'm blogging well enough to get another shot next month!

Good luck at the tables!
