After a long time a blog about my game with a little bit thinking about it

1. 03/17 – 03/23 Stats

One of the goal I set to myself was to write a blog about my CG week every Sunday. I completely failed, I have not written a single blog yet

hands: 4831
bb/100: 12.78
VPP: 48

If I take in account I have not played poker for almost a month, this is a good results. I did few really bad calls that coast me few bucks and I was also rivered few times but I know that happens to everyone so in generall I am happy.

2. Few hands

a. skill not good enough

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

I had around 50hands with villian and he opened almost every hand (80%) with almost anything. He lost few pots before and I knew he is going to call with some trash. My read was correct The rest is one of the thing why poker is a beatiful game. Even I was a big favourite, it did not mean anything.
Preflop chances against random range is around 70% for me. My chances are almost 80% against 75 Still not good enough.

b. Luck is on my side

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

But to be fair, I also had luck on my side. Both villians were fishes but no the biggest one arround. Vil5 usually re-raise a lot but when I went all in before against him, he fold. Vil7 was there only for few hands (14) but he went all in almost every second hand(6), he was called just once and was lucky with some trash.

I aimed with my all in against Vil7, the fact Vil5 re-raised me surprised me I thought I am good but I was wrong. Going forward, river and turn helped like never before

But even I had a better read, I would not fold KK preflop against villans with stats like VPIP 40+.

c. Against someone I know

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Villian is solid rock (9/6) and I have over 1700hands on him. I don't count vil7. Cannot remember his stats and he fold.

My preflop raise is very standart.  I always open with 3bb does not matter about the hand I hold. He called, so he did not have AA,KK. Possible pair 99+ ,AJs+, AQo. So I was favourite like 60/40 because I dropped out AA and KK for him.

Flop: I hit flush draw. But even if I missed I would continue betting. Against solid rocks I know it is the best things I can do. If he hit or had a hand, he would call, if he cought something superstrong, he would reraise at some point. If he missed, he would fold.

Becasue he called, I rulled out AJ+ and sticked only with pairs 99 – QQ or some flush draw also. My chances decrease a little, right now we are equal.

Turn: My flush was completed. I bet as usuall. If I missed, I would probably stop betting because if my read was correct, he would call anyway. He called. That surprised me a bit. I started to think he completed the flush and he did not hold any pair.

River: Very strange from him. I have read on him, he has a read on me. I bet and he re-raised me. No idea what he was thinking. He had to know I am going to call only with nuts. Or very likely with K high flush that still beat him. Hmm strange.

d) Something stinks here + need help

Sorry, this hand was deleted by its owner

Another villian I know quite well. I raised as usually. The flop and I bet again. He just called. So if he missed, he would fold. He sometimes slow play some strong hands waiting for river to re-raise a lot. The turn brought Q, I had a feeling something stinks here and I gave up.
If someone reads my blog, I would like to hear your opinion about this hand.

3. Stack to pot ratio

I am not going to educate you but this Stack to pot ration thingy I used quite a lot. If you do not know what it is I recommend to google it. It saves a lot of time during multitabling. I don't need to always think what to do next when it is very obvious.

For example, even I am not saying I follow exatly these numbers if I have SPR more than 5, I do not chase the pot unless nuts or very weak player. If I have something between 2.5-5 I think about it. Less then ~1.3 I am basically commite it.

If I have a good card and a weak oppenent, I sometimes choose the betsize in the way that I am commited in next turn so I don't need to think about it again or I can choose to bet less not to be commited. Quite a useful things to me, especially against short stacks
