A Bad Beat

By: Ross Adams @ 16:10 (EST) / 292 / Comment ( 0 )
It is a dream; this life we live.
It reigns supreme that we're all blissless.
But we have this game that makes life twisted
Poker's my name, my entire life addicted.

It blows up and screams, a bad beat inflicted.
You had a great hand and your intentions convicted.
Some moron plays dumb and uses superstition.
Who would've known the clarity of their vision?

So this is to you, the moron who knows not,
If you ain't got a hand, get the hell out of the pot.

Now moving back on to my previous conviction
Poker is a drug and addiction is my condtion.
The game is mental, so i'll make an incision.
I'll rip out your brain and then puppet your decisions.
To think you ever had the lead is the intended envision,
that way you walk forward and I trap you with attrition.
I'm always ahead, thats the nature of my addiction.

There are few achievements I wish to attain,
Greatness at poker and respect for my name.
The road has been shitty and I have lossed more than gained.
But my thoughts have become stronger as my mind has been trained.
For it is manifest destiny that a World Series I shall obtain
Because no one can stop me at the top of my game.
