My POKERSTARS Diary - Update #3

By: SaintKarl @ 12:40 (EST) / 276 / Comment ( 0 )

Hi everyone

Here again to update on my poker quest for a few dollars more.

Well right now I feel like i have been run over by a few buses, it has been "Brutal" for me.

In simply terms, I've lost all my bankroll.

Frustratation is at an all time high for me, and i can see why there are a few guys out there who says that online poker is rigged.

With the type of hands that i have lost to, it is how i feel.

Such as i had a pair of 4s preflop, i 3 bet raised preflop, two callers,  flop came 4 4 7, wow i have flopped Quads, so i bet pot size bet, one caller, 10 came on turn, so i bet pot size again and this guy calls, on river 7 came.

So i am thinking this guy has a house if he has an seven for sevens over fours, so i decided to shove all my chips and this guys calls instantly.

He had Quad sevens to beat my Quad fours.

This senario has happened quite a few times, where i bet semi agressively, and knowing their hand history showing them to be weak /  average players, they just keep calling and then over take me and beat me too many times.

I have played poker for about twenty years, and feel that i have a good handle on the game of poker regarding outs and odds, and feeling out who's weak and who's strong.

I just can't get my head around on to why this has happened to me...

To be honest, it is soul destroying to be kept getting all bashed up on the cash tables, when you feel that you have good holding hands, and then see it slip away on the river.

Live poker i am very good, nearly always on final tables, but online cash tables is now a big fat "NO".

Online tournaments I am quite good and have had some good results.

I have even started a quest build a bankroll to play with nothing and aim to win a total of $10,000.

Started out very well, managed to get to around $250 mark, then things started to slip away, simply because my head was not focus on the game because of the fact that my brother in law had passed away and it had an effect on my mind and my bankroll.

So now, I am going to give up playing online cash tables, and play online tournaments, and maybe in a few years time when i am a bit flushed with money i may give it a go on cash tables online.

So for now, good bye cash tables i know when to quit.

Good bye to all till next time when my head is sorted and ready to play poker.
