I used to tell my friend about my psychic dreams.  I thought they were very interesting.  My dreams were a sort of like the ones in the TV show 'Medium'.  In these particular dreams they would be extraordinaily vivid.  I would wake up with a clear vision of them.  in my dream, i would be looking out from the point of view of someone else.  It's kind of confusing, i knew it wasn't really me in the dream but for the time i was in the dream, that person was me.

Most of these dreams would be violent.  Really nasty sorts of dreams.  About murder and other nasty stuff.  One dream I woke up crying and so extraordinairly sad.  I had dreamed I saw a plane crash.  It was taking off, and oddly it turned over on it's back and fell down.  I said to myself, 'Now, do you know anyone who had died in a plane crash?  No.  Do you know anyone who is going to fly?  No.  Has there been a plane crashes lately?  No.  So why are you crying?'.  Later, I saw on a TV show that this particular dream experience had happened to a lot of people.  One person, at least, had dreamed it in advance.  I believe the plane took off from Chicago and did just as I dreamed.

Another dream, there was an ice cream truck.  And the children were crying 'STOP!  STOP!'.  But the driver didn't want to stop.  I thought this was odd because isn't that what ice cream trucks do?  Didn't he want to sell ice cream to children?  He was backing up.  He backed up over a little child.  Didn't even notice it at first.  I saw an article in the paper about this one later.

I have other examples of dreams and finding out that they were real later.  But I had many that I don't know where they happned or if they were real at all.  You could argue that I dremed the dreams after I saw the TV show or newspaper article.  My friend said 'Yes, but what good are they?'.  And, you know, she was right.  What good were they or my other psychic feelings?  Unlike the TV show 'Medium' I could never tell you who a person was or where it was happening.  It was too dream like vague for that.

I decided that I really didn't want to dream these dreams any more.   What good were they?  And they stopped.  I think most people are a little psychic.  When I'm driving I will say to myself 'I don't trust that car.' and sure enough they will do something stupid that if I hadn't been extra careful could have caused an accident.   I think most people have had the occasion where they heard the phone ring and knew who was calling.  Again you can argue that it's just subliminal cues or a reasonable expectation.

But now, I think i have a good response for my friend.  I think that I have found a place that being a little psychic is really useful!  You guessed it - POKER!  I'm not the first person who as speculated about this.  I wonder if most of the top players are really psychic.  It would be interesting to take a poll.  It tickles me that this might be true! Do you think you are a little psychic at the poker table?

I think it takes a little more than being a little psychic to be a top player.  I'm working on it!  Maybe I should try a little directed dreaming.  Let's see now I'm at the poker table and.......
