POKER PYRITE

This post is going to be a hodge podge.

First of all, I'm melting!  MELTING! I started ofF pretty well this month, UP,
down, UP, down, but generally UP.  But the last few days I've played awful.  Haven't been patient, had a few bad beats and lost bad and early!  I just hope I can recover, I THINK I'm still above 1525 to I qualify for the warm up next month.  I Was in the money but no more!  But I'll count my PSO points when they hatch!

For those of you playing in the warm up....do you like it?  Is it worth it?  What is the good of it?

Nice Hand.  People say nice hand all the time.  It's Nice to say nice hand.  But usually it is for someone who has just played AA, bet it, the flop was another AA and they have four of a kind!  I mean, that deserves a Wow or Lucky but there isn't much skill or thought in playing hands like AA!  Now, when you are dealt 7 2, you are Not one of the blinds but take a flyer and bet anyway and wind up with a full house 77722....that's a nice hand!  Or the person who has K J, and the board flops A Q 2 and you hang in there when you suspect your opponent has (and it turns out he DOes have) AA and gets a 10 with the river.....THAT's a nice hand.  Maybe that is just luck too or stupidity....but it takes more than a modicum of GUTS to try these on.  NIce Hand!

So maybe we should try to start a new way of acknowledging those just lucky hands.  LL for Lucky Lucky?  GFY for Good For You?  That sounds pretty good.  LOTI - for Luck of the Irish?  Kow for KNock on Wood?

Who else has entered the Poker Bloggers tournament?  It's an interesting mix.  Sadly, or perhpas not so sadly, I've got some work next week and will miss most of the daytime tourney's.  I'm practising my PL Omaha for the Monday one.  I'm not much good at it but figure, what the hey?  KOW! LOTI !!  Now, if I were only Irish!
