POKER PYRITE

I made it through the 2nd round of the big game qualifier.  In case you don't know how this works.  There is the first round where you have to be in the top 300 to move on.  Then the round I just did, you have to be in the top 1000 in order to move on.  Then you get to go into the final round where you have to be in the top 200 in order to move on.  And moving on in that case means sending in a video so the casting people can consider you.

I did pretty well for most of this round.  I was up to about 100,000 and thought I'd just sit there, I was pretty high in the rankings at that point, about 140.  But noooo,  I had to bet and I lost a few points and then sat.  I was down to about 30,000 points and right at the 1000 point  or a little above when I got double aces.  They held up and I was able to double up so I was at 60,000.  Then a few hands later, I was dealt double aces again!  Aaaaoooogaahh!  Yippee!  They also held up and I was able to double up yet again.  I was at 120,000 then and about 450 place.  I went up and down a bit from there but was never in real danger of going above the 1000 cutoff.

I've been doing fairly well in the tournaments....all except for the PSO ones!  I seem to tank in them!  There is something about being graded that seems a little daunting.  Anyone can look at your scores and it's embarassing!  But I've just decided that I can't let that bother me.  If I really am doing well, it will come.  So I'm just going to take it day by day and not worry about my score.

So tomorrow I've got the Big Game round.  And I've got a Facebook Monthly game with a 5000 pot restricted to the top 50 players in thier various categories.  (There are over a thousand players total).  I was happily surprised to get in that.  I think I got in just because I played a lot of games!  But I'll take what I can get, thank you very much!  Not too shabby for someone who has been playing for 3 months!

In my previous post I said the Million Dollar Challenge but it was the Big Game that I got in.  STill working on the Million Dollar challenge!  LOL
