New Beginnings

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this whole blogging thing but I feel as though it will be benefitial to my new journey if I record how its going. Hopefully anyone who reads this will be able to get some benefit from it as well.

The reason for me starting this blog is that I had a soul crushing downswing that caused me to reconsider playing poker. Poker used to be something that I did for fun, that also helped me pay some expenses in life. After the downswing, which I must admit wasn't all bad beats and suckouts, poker became an expense, instead of helping me pay expenses. So I took a break.

I've been playing around at the micros now for a while and still feel like I'm off my game, and getting crushed in situations that I know I'm capable of getting out of. This brings me to the blog, and a challenge.

The Challenge: Turn 20$ into 2,000 by the end of the summer. (lofty but I've done it before)

This blog is going to be me recording my adventure as I try to build up a decent bankroll and relearn the basics that somehow got lost when I started playing for money instead of for fun.

I'm going to start with a grind today. 2 NL Hold'em (Zoom), 0.01-0.02 PLO (Zoom), and any very low stakes MTT's I can find myself in, without accidentally blowing half the bankroll.

I hope everyone enjoys this journey, and I really hope I can motivate others to play their best game as well. I feel like this will be a great process for everyone who involves themselves and I'm sure we can improve together.

I guess its time to shuffle up and deal. See you on the felt.

Shane
