Starting To Look Up

By: SpiffsGirl @ 11:57 (EST) / 50 / Comment ( 2 )

I finally started to have a decent run. I played in a sat tourney to play in a 27 hot turbo or something along those lines, and actually placed 110, after getting beat out by a pro..I had him until the river, when he spiked an A, but anywho I was pretty excited. After winning around $120..my biggest win yet.

I do admit to not following a good bankroll strategy. I played in a sat with over half my bankroll, which I shouldn't have, but I may have been on tilt. Being on tilt is my worst flaw. I do very well when I stick to a good bankroll guideline, but when I get up to around $30 I start to drift away from that and get into tourneys well over the amount I should, and then my bankroll dwindles and I go on tilt and usually lose all of it.

So, back to winning around $120..I decided to play another $27 tourney..stupid of me.. and play some big zoom games. FAIL! Why did I do that?! I always do it. I lost everything. Tilt kills me.

The maximum I usually deposit on my account is $15. After that hit I took, I restricted myself, and will not allow myself to deposit anything. I used my FTP and played in the bronze games for 10 or 20 FTP. I went in 3 I believe, and placed in 2..only getting under a dollar. After playing some .25 cent and .50 45 mans..starting from pretty much nothing, I am up to around $7. It isn't much, but if I stick to the bankroll guidelines, I think I can work my way back up.

Also, I am doing pretty good in the poker school games. I am 1800 overall I beileve for the freerolls. Which, i believe I may place for alittle cash, not much but some. A couple days ago I was very far behind in over 3000 place, but after a couple under 625 finishes, I am up

So, there is hope. I just desperatly need to work on being on tilt, and walking away. I believe I am a decent poker player. I just need to work on some things I suppose lol Anyways..good luck in the new year everyone. And hopefully I will turn things around, and maybe if I can help myself, I can help the others that go on extreme tilt like me.
