Play Styles.

When I first started playing NLHE about 7 or 8 years ago, I played mostly live tournaments, with a good success rate using my old style, I wouldn't call it tight agressive, but I played a fairly tight game, with some draws. Then I started playing with my game, for 1 reason, because at a live tourney, someone called me a donk. Going over the last 3 years, I have tried to change my game to become a nit, but nit doesn't always work either, as you end up blinding out when you draw card dead. I am tired of trying to change my gameto please other players. In the past 3 days, I have returned to my old game, and am starting to make calls again on my noted players. I sat at a table the other day, I saw a guy push all in, the blinds were still low, and I had his chips coverred, and I have had a note on the guy as a shovedonkey(since May 15th/11) so having him coverred I called on my note to bring this players chhips to mine, and he turns over a 34 to my AJ, beautiful I thought, until the guy turned a 4, and I caught a pile of flack calling with AJ, when I explained I had a note on the guy, and putting him on a weak range, I was way ahead, but someone(won't mention names) maybe felt I was overstepping what I did, and thought it out of place. Maybe nobody caught the "I don't care what the peanut gallery thinks of my play, when it's working. My old game was working, only reason I changed it was because I came to PSO, and figured if I was going to be playing here, I should be following what they teach, but as I can see, the staff/owners of PSO/PS don't care how people play, and taking my railing sessions of some of the top players the last 2 months, they aren't exactly playing the Category hands where it says is optimal.

So go ahead, call me what you like, I'm playing my game. That's what every book has taught me to do, develop your own game, otherwise we're like a bunch of robots playing poker.

Hmm, pokerbots, I'll leave that for another blog, that 1 is just too space consuming to tack on to this 1 ......rofl
