What’s the difference between you and me? I often interview myself by imagining that I’ve just achieved everything I’ve ever dreamed about, and that I have to make new life goals. In the interview I always know how hard I’ve worked, and at that particular time I know why I stand out of the crowd – and why I’m more successful than others.

And it’s always the same, it’s always someone asking me in hope of inspiring others to achieve their dreams, and through this I think the imaginative “future me” is telling the “present me” to start acting up because it can all be true. There are values being mentioned such as; dedication, work ethic, respect – and depending on the day, the answers vary, but there’s only one true constant, the only thing that will stand between me and my goal is never giving up.

Have you seen the picture about two guys digging for a treasure? And you see this guy giving up and he’s so close to finding it, but he decides it’s not worth his time, while there’s another guy, further behind him that doesn’t give up, and you know he will get the treasure.

You can’t know for sure that you are close to your goal, maybe there’s not really any indicators for this at all in life, the very true completion of a lifelong goal is the only measure that you’ve set in order for you to know when it’s achieved. Is it then you realize that your goal is unrealistic? Is it when you think about how much you will have to work, rather than thinking about how much you want to achieve – that you understand the real cost of your dream? Or is it simply when you are about to give up, that you realize you’ve set the bar to high?

Never give up, and you’ve still got the chance to succeed. Never give in and you’ll be able to achieve. Don’t make your dream a living nightmare, if your ultimate goal makes the road so unsatisfying that you aren’t able to motivate yourself to continue the journey towards reaching the top, then maybe there’s no satisfaction in reaching it either? When conquering, when achieving and when dreaming you set yourself a finish line to work towards and if you give up you’re just telling yourself you’ll never get there. What you’re actually saying is that you dream is just a dream, what you want wasn’t what you thought you wanted, this journey has given you a realization – it’s impossible, if so – try again – and never give up.

There’s said that people limit themselves and their beliefs into believing that they are nothing, and that dreams are only being experienced in DREAMS and never in REALITY. Daydreaming just shows how hungry you are, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wake up and face reality. Sound contradicting? Try telling yourself that you’ll want to achieve something, and after that try to explain to me why you don’t try to do everything in your power to achieve it! It isn’t easy because all there is of obstacles between you and your ultimate life goal is excuses and you giving up. I’m not giving up, and that’s the difference between me and you.
