February Live Training

By: TheLangolier @ 14:06 (EST) / 712 / Comment ( 3 )

Hi all,

First a quick note of change for February.  The Poker Basics Series (which had run daily, directly before the Daily Game), and the Daily Game are going to be reduced in frequency to twice a week.   These will be Wednesday at 20ET and Saturday at 15ET.

Saturday Live Training Sessions were well attended in January and so those will continue…. I will be hosting them myself this month around the new Poker Basics/Saturday Game schedule.   The first of those classes was on the 2nd at 14ET, and it was well attended.  I’ll also be doing the 16th at 14ET, and both the 9th and 23rd at 17ET.

Here’s what’s on tap for the rest of February:

Andy will be doing sessions on short stacked play in 45-man turbos, running another  “Last Longer” session, and doing a session looking at the math of stealing the blinds.  He will also be hosting the Sunday Special on the 24th during which he will play in and cover the first 2 hours of the Main Events of the February PSO Tournament Series: February Freezeout.

Chris will be doing sessions on raising the button in MTT’s, the importance of chip accumulation in turbos, and a look at the mental side of the game in a class called “The Winning Mentality”.

Gareth will be off the schedule in February as he continues his journeys around some of the less internet-reliable regions of South America.   You can follow along with his adventure in his very well written and entertaining blog!  Vamooooooo Gareth!

Andre will be playing in the $215 Sunday Million on the 17th when he hosts the Sunday Special, as well as doing a heads up SNG coaching that focuses on the topic of bluff catching, a crucial skill to develop in heads up matches.

I will be doing another session of the Final Table Chronicles, a review in 6-max tournament action that in two parts covers playing premiums out of position, and 3-betting opportunities,  All in preflop decisions in cash games,  and we’ll see another  visit from the Statistical Sleuth to help PSO Member dysiclawl  look for leaks in his 10NL Full Ring Zoom game.

Felix will be conducting a couple different leakbuster sessions this month, one for PSO Member TheAwesomeNW on playing premiums (TT+, AQ+) and one for PSO Member Taunto_88 in tricky 6-max cash game spots.   He will also be running a live play session at 25NL 6-max while focusing the discussion on his strategies for playing in blind vs. blind situations.

Tyler will be joining us on Sunday the 10th at 14ET, directly before the Sunday Special that day, to host his usual high quality NLHE Full Ring cash game coaching.

For more information visit the Live Training section of the PSO web site today!

Remember, there is no cost to attend these trainings, they are all free, brought to you by PSO and PokerStars…  and anyone can attend all live trainings, even the VPP restricted ones will allow all PSO members into the room as a viewer… the VPP restriction only impacts the ability to type in the chat box but all members can see and hear everything regardless of their VPP level, and no VPPs are ever taken from your account to attend.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.   I look forward to seeing more and more of you in Live Training going forward.
