2014 micro stakes on a $200 bankroll

By: Truth0406 @ 01:49 (EST) / 188 / Comment ( 1 )

I will be starting on January 1st depositing $200 using strict bankroll management rules.  I quickly went broke last year on original $60, but had a good year playing mostly MTT micro tournamnets. You can find my MTT stats on ""

I was able to win the Big $3 twice, came 11th in Sunday storm which made for a good year with just those 3 scores.  Unfortunately as is the case with a lot of us part time players who have jobs, and a life outside of poker.  I was not able to keep those winnings in my bankroll.  I had to cash out for  a vacation, for a vehicle repair etc.  Just for life stuff.  This year the goal is to keep the bankroll completely seperate.

Anyway below is a 2013 breakdown of N/L hold em' MTT results.

Prizes won: $11,347    Profit: $3,957    ROI: 54%   Avg buy in:$3.37     field size:2164   ITM 15%

This year I plan on playing mostly cash games, while of course playing tournaments.  In order to keep my bankroll growing, I plan on only playing tournaments with a % of my proifts of cash games. As an example with a goal of making $10/day playing 4 tables of limit hold em buying in for $5 at 10/20 cent stakes.

10% for limit cash games at risk = $20 so 10/20 cent ($0.10 x 50 BB =$5 x 4 tbls)

*10% for myself is for LIMIT cash games, for N/L it would be even smaller, tournaments will be 1-2% of my bankroll.  Bankroll management is probably the most imortant skill if you want to continue playing and growing your bankroll.

* goal in 1st 4 weekS should be $10-$15/day avg, so in month one:
*Jan 01-07 profit $70-$135
*Jan 08-14 profit $70-$135
*Jan 15-21 profit $70-$135
*Jan 22-28 profit $70-$135    @ 4 weeks BANKROLL $200 + ($280 or/ $540) =$480=$740

I will be giving updates during the month.  I figure the 1st week or 2 will be learning the software, and how to best use the stats it produces to help my game and also the replayer to spot leaks etc.  That said, profit at these stakes should be quite possible, unless of course I simply do not play well enough.  I am pretty confident however starting out should work out as planned.  Hopefully I can earn more tournament scores to really hellp boost the roll.
