Beating the Astronomer Freerolls

By: UMGUY @ 01:45 (EST) / 502 / Comment ( 4 )
I can now say that I'm easily handling the Astronomer Freerolls and earning my Weekly Round 2 Tickets.

How?

Patience (I've worked a lot on this one) and knowing how to play more than just hold'em.

When I do sit down and play, I enter 2 or 3 of the freerolls which are offered 40 minutes apart. My style of play is pretty simple. Wait for the premium hands and hope the donkeys don't get lucky. Unfortunately, the donkeys do win some, which is why playing a couple in a night seems to suit me best.

Last week I went 1/3, 1/3, and 1/2 earning 3 WR2 tickets in 3 nights of play. My ticket wins came in FL Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud, and NL Omaha Hi/Lo.

I even had the time to play both WR2 freerolls this past weekend, however finished both with cashes of only $0.40. Still this contributes towards my goal of building a $50 bankroll before beginning micro SNG's and MTT's.

Tonight I have gone 2/3 receiving tickets in 8-game and NL 5-card draw. I just missed out on Hubble finishing 89th (Top 72 receive ticket).

If you happen to see me grinding away at one of these, say hello. I'm always up for some chatter especially game related topics which may improve my game.
