Setting an achievable goal for 2012

By: UMGUY @ 20:26 (EST) / 435 / Comment ( 0 )

I've decided to start taking a more focused approach to poker in the upcoming year and setting some goals seems the right way to start things off. I recently read a post which had some great ideas, some of which I am going to use.

The post I read can be found at http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/forum/showthread.php?37499-Anybody-interested-in-a-poker-diet&p=311864#post311864 . I recomend checking it out.

I refuse to make a deposit to online gaming, so my goals begin with building a bankroll via leagues and freerolls.

GOAL: Build a bankroll of $50.00.

This doesn't seem like much, but it should be a good start to begin playing some micro SNG's and MTT's.

Hand History will be reviewed a couple times a month to try to minimize future mistakes with similar hands. Also, a couple hours of videos supplied by the pokerstars pros through the pokerschool will be looked at. (I have watched most of them already)

Once this is achieved, micro play can begin and further goals will be set.

Though most of you are more advanced poker players than I, feel free to blot down some of your goals for the upcoming year.
