What about physical handicaps?

By: Waddena @ 14:51 (EDT) / 317 / Comment ( 0 )
I started playing poker recently because I have an auto-immune disorder that causes my body to make anti-bodies that attack my brain and cause lesions.  This condition has caused a serious problem with my motor skills; one hand and arm are almost useless and my walking and sitting capabilities are affected.  If I wanted to compete at some point in a tournament; would I be given a helper to handle my cards and chips; and what about sitting for hours without a break?  I would really like to compete some day but I'm concerned that there wouldn't be allowances for my condition.  I really like Texas Hold-em; it breaks the boredom of my restrictions.
