Tilt is Tough

By: X-\\IuI//-X @ 20:04 (EDT) / 169 / Comment ( 0 )

Played a pretty decent session albeit a very frustrating one.

PLO can be a cruel mistres sometimes. At the 250 mark I'm obviously feeling very good. I am playing well, running well and my bankroll is looking nice. Lose a couple of flips and get hit with a couple of bad beats and it's hard to shake the creeping itchy furnace that rises from the belly.

I have been working on my mental game but lately I have let it slip in favour of grinding more hands. It's something I'm terrible for, especially when I am playing well and winning. It needs to stop. The cycle tends to happen like this.

1. Play well, feeling confident, good times

2. Insecurity and tilt creeps in. Starting to feel weak tight (not good in PLO)

3. Find myself questioning spots that I know and have worked on constantly

4. Play bad, tilt and finally lose my temper

5. Tilt BTN hit and I ban myself for a few hours

6. Study hard, work on game

7. See Step 1

2,3 and 4 need to go. To combat this I will work out a schedule every morning before I start the day and stick to it.

Anyway. It is way past my bed time. Need to be up early.

Take care folks.

Jas
