ok here goes, outta like 1300 ppl bout 900 and some change left....so its still early. I get rockets( in one of T.J Cloutier's books he says only 2 ways to play em allin or fold dont ever limp.) I don't always follow that rule but decided to push preflop and if I was lucky get some action from one of the real short stacks on a gamble and still have "a chip and a chair".............to set this up blinds were 25/50 there were 2 ppl that had about 10 times the big blind, I had alittle under 3k , and the bigstack I dont wanna use names so we'll just call him cornball. Cornball had about 5k and was playing foldem poker for most small preflop raises to protect his stack...it seemed. There were also 2 sitters just gettin blinded. I get the aces push preflop the short stacks fold....1 medium stack thinks about it ....then folds to cornball who insta calls two thirds of his chips preflop with...................................WAIT FOR IT ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Pocket 3's???????of course with pocket 3's your gonna hit a set every time , atleast he thought so....and this time he was right. Now since it was preflop does it constitute a bad beat? I know aces get cracked alot but not usually by smaller pair , most of the time its a busted straight that hits 2 pair or a flush, gettin em cracked by a smaller pair really stings.....the only way it coulda went worse is if Cornball called with the infamious P.S. Special 9-4......LOL any thoughts on this ?
