Introduction 2nl- 200nl the hard way

A quick introduction, and plan for this blog..

I've started playing poker about 2 years ago and started really trying to learn the game a year ago.  I play cash games exclusively on Pokerstars and have lost money overall.

I'm starting the blog however to explain how I am learning to play poker.  That might sound off or odd a bit, but the idea is that everything I read today is from excellent players who have already beaten and escaped the limits I'm currently playing (2nl - 5nl).  Because of that some of the nuances which they take for granted escape the training material or are not emphasized enough to stick to my brain.  I am assuming there are others.

I multitable up to 12 tables, and I have a good feel for the game.   The problem at these lower limits is more so self control then poker knowledge.  So I want to wrap into this blog some psychological difficulties I am having with the game as well.

So the plan:
  • Explain with graphs, analysis and HH how I have beaten a level
  • Introduce the situations where I tend to spew money
  • Offer some eye opening visuals to concepts already understood
  • Progress at a steady rate to 25nl
  • Explain psychological shortfalls and tasks I have given myself to retrain the way I think.

I'll add more..  good luck at the tables!
