Building a Bankroll from Micro up!

Upgrayeded!

My game is now upgraded from the 25c standard 45man's to the 50c turbo 45mans as my Bankroll has grown to the point when I can start playing in these.

Same as usual, 20x games in a set and then build, build, build that Bankroll.

My next goal is to hit $40 and then can move upto $1 games but no need to put the horse before the cart... plenty of grinding to go before I can get there.

Turbo = more variance... this is a bad thing on one side but really all it does is force the action to come around quicker. You get less hands that you are winning small pots with since most of the time, most of the table is below 10BB and the action is mostly all in if played right.

So typically a Turbo for anyone who doesn't know relies heavily on your short-stack skills. If you are the kind of player that knows when to shove, what conditions you need and what hand ranges you need, the only thing that will hurt your ability to improve is simple luck in your flips.

My short game is far better than my long game. Give me a big stack on a 15min blind table and I can often start spewing it by not playing it as good as I should --- i need to work on that.

But with my short game, I think I am far better and pretty much don't make mistakes so if I am right, my only variance should come from bad luck not bad play.

Also, Turbos are much easier to play because of the speed from 1st level > FT

You don't need to spend 2+ hours waiting to FT, on a Turbo you can get there often within an hour. This improves your hourly rate (although at these levels im not focused on that!!!) but also gives you quicker results and allows you to progress better.

Typically due to this even if the Turbo hurts your variance by a factor of 2 (so it takes you 10 games to win the same amount you would win in 5 games in non-turbo) the speed makes up for this being an equal factor and typicalling because you are investing a higher-buy-in it doubles your profit and hourly rate goes up by x4.

Hoping for some good results, 9 games in and $1 profit on the set so looking to build on that and grind myself out to $40 so i can move up. I reckon it should go by quicker than the 25c games... took me a good while to get from $5 to $20 and i dont think it will take nearly as long to see $40 now
