Cashing in #3

By: baud2death @ 01:51 (EDT) / 227 / Comment ( 3 )

My patience held out and I turned my negative into a positive tonight actually bringing my weekly run into a $3.15 profit.

Most of it was solid, tight and measured play but there was an amazing hand that I almost still can't believe happened.

I had in the Big Blind and had $5.50 (or about that)

(NOTE: I had just won a big hand 2 hands earlier with a flush, hadn't had the chance to bank my profit)

UTG raises to 6c

Two people in MP call

SB calls

I decide to try and Isolate the original raiser, I raise to 40c

... everyone just calls

There is now about $2.00 in the pot and my hand just went from value to showdown value because with this many people in the pot, I am unlikely to be ahead with Kings.

Flop comes

Now, I can't remember the sequence but it all goes in on the flop at this point. All I can rougly remember were the stacks.

UTG had $2 and had just sat down, so he had about $1.60 behind

Two MP guys, one of them was short had about 60c left, the other was just under $3 behind

SB had a bigger stack than me with $8

UTG shows

First MP shows

Second MP shows

SB shows

I ran it through an odds calculator afterwards to see what my odds were. Although I thought I was crushing I was not as far ahead as I thought.

I was 62%

KT was 27% (win would be the flush)

JJ had 5% (win would be the case Jack for quads)

Red Aces were drawing dead to win but could tie (straight) for 0.5%

Black Aces had the same 0.5% tie but also had 3.7% to win with runner runner nut flush

Turn came (I think it was a club, wasnt a spade that was for sure)

Talk about a sweat. Odds didnt change much only now both Aces were drawing to the tie for a straight.

River... was a brick, 4 I think.

My win was about $11 for one hand profit (not counting what I put in) since my stack was $16.

I immediately sat out, banked my profit immediately, put $9 in the bank and reloaded.

Rest of the session was less remarkable, some ups and downs but came out with the profit as discussed and am now up $3.15 on where I started earlier in the week.

Amazing hand, one I won't forget for a long time.
