Building a Bankroll from Micro up!
Send PM

I played some very poor games at the weekend and some quite good ones.

I took a day off last night doing some education and reading articles, watching youtube videos and generally learning.

I feel that focusing on areas that include avoid calling in fold/raise situations, getting stuck in way ahead/way behind situations, getting over-commited to pots with meager holdings, keeping the pot controlled for the showdown or bloating if we have a monster, using the right spots to steal/resteal and analysing our opponents better.

The problem I have is that the only critic I have is myself and whilst I am not looking for responses from a peanut gallery of critics, I do need to put my results out in the world so that I know when i am in a hand that making the wrong choice is going to make me look stupid once I have to show it to the world.

To that end, I am going to post a summary of all games I play in my blog. Within those I am going to post any situatuation where I feel I made a bad play or mistake as well as the obligatory bust-out hand. I will then do a self-critque of my performance in the game overall.

I will avoid over-complicating the blog posts by putting in spots where I played well as it will be assumed that the majority of the time I am playing well and I want to tweak performance by reducing the bad mistakes.

I might post the occasional really good play though.

I am planning on playing some games tonight... I will post the schedule and results tomorrow once completed.

My aim is that knowing I have to post them will shame me into folding in spots where I get into a spot that I may gamble and overall hopefuly good habits will stick.
