Interesting Stats

By: baud2death @ 19:05 (EDT) / 287 / Comment ( 0 )

So I looked in Holdem Manager at my hand history.

Over 20,000 hands or so, It tells me my winnings with certain hands, I found the numbers very interesting.

The majority of the hands are about 70-200 each hand and I am just focusing on pairs, AJo-AKs and KQo/KQs

AA is the clear winner with 13.79BB per hand

QQ is next with 7.13BB per hand

KK (after QQ, strange!) is next with 6.11BB per hand

--- Then a surprise entry ---

44 with 4.44BB per hand (4.44... thats just spooky!)

The rest go up and down across the rest of the range,

... at the bottom of the +EV table is JJ, it barely scraped in with 0.09BB per hand, that is weak and just goes to show how useless JJ really can be!

So what were my -EV hands?

KQo with -0.8BB per hand

77 with -0.9BB per hand

All I can think with 77 is that I am over-valuing it when I have had to shove perhaps and getting it in vs a better pair, it is over 89 hands so thats a fairly decent sample size.

I am probably not winning a lot of sets with 77 by the looks of it.

Looking at the stats as well, within my broadway range the big painful hands were:

KTo/KJo/KQo

KTs/QTs/JTs

Also QJs

This tells me that I am probably over-valuing my broadway range too much, getting into spots where it is dominated (like top pair weak kicker)

I have improved my game recently (or at least I hope so!) and may reset the DB on my Holdem Manager and see how my stats improve.

I find this very interesting though... that 44 is the strongest hand for me outside the top 3 and I seem to be getting massive value on that hand over 77 which I am suffering a loss with.

Aside from the observations I made, I am unsure of what more I can draw from that , I do however like the reminder that JJ is a crap-crap-crap hand and is more dominated than any other in my range... Should just call it TT-MK2 and stop giving it so much credit!
