Poker Year almost done

As 2010 draws to a close i must say my time here at Poker Stars and specifically Poker School Online has really been a learning experience.
i didn't jump right into the PSO when i started playing online here - i played in the "play money" section and that is an entirely different world.   When i switched to "real" money i found i wasn't nearly as lucky as i had been...lol

Taking the lessons was the first part of my journey - and getting the basics of poker.  Some of the stuff i learned i had had no clue about before.  i found my cash games improved after that first little forray into the world of poker ed.

My next step forward was when i hooked up with the gang in the Cowboy's Corral.  They have daily games weekly and a huge bounty game on Tuesday evenings.  The level of skill in those games varies, but is mainly very good.  I've even seen a couple of the PS Pros take part in the $1 buy-in games.  It's kinda exciting for those like me who wouldn't get that opportunity to play against professionals much.  Anyway, that pushed me to up my game play.. and that's good!

The third thing i did was hook up with the Suited Aces.  This group of like-minded individuals are all wanting to improve.  We get together on Saturdays at noon Central to do a little 1 - 2-hour "class".  It may be on poker styles or play or math... even bankroll management.  We meet on Ventrillo - which is a chat thing.. ok i'm just a mouse so i don't know how it works.. but we can talk to eachother as a group.
it makes the Saturday study group easy to attend.

The web page for the Suited Aces is called flopsocial.com
I would recommend that to anyone wanting to move forward from here...

2010 has been a blast.  I've learned lots, improved my game from where it was.. and i look foward to 2011's poker challenges..

see you out there!!
