First milestone Smashed

Howdy folks.

I put out a quick update last week on how my bankroll bulding is going and set myself a target of hitting the $100 mark by this weekend but news that I can finally move into my new home next week means that this weekend will be full of packing and dismatling furniture (after work that is)... booooo!

I have however managed to get time to play nearly every night this week which has been a bonus! A shaky monday - tuesday left me lucky to be hovering around the $80 mark still as I made some horrific plays and managed to run KK into AA countless times. Never the less I managed to pick a few spots in the $0.02/$0.05 NL games to keep myself alive and kicking.

Wednesday through to tonight has seen me go on an absolute heater though and I am happy to say that I smashed through my target and am currently sitting with just over $120 in the kitty. I believe that opening up my range a little (in the correct circumstances) has helped me to hit flops and get money in good more times than not.

I have also been having fun with (and taking advantage of) pokerstars spin and go daily promotions while I grind out the cash games. Granted I have been knocked out in the first hand of every shoot out but I have chipped up nicely in the games played to qualify for the free ticket. Today I played 3 x $1 spin and goes winning a total of $8 and getting my free $3 ticket. I came ever so close to scooping the $18 prize that was up for grabs in that game but barely saw a card higher than a 9 once we hit heads up play.

I dont think I will get much time for poker over the next week or so but firmly have my sights set on hitting the $150 mark. Once I reach it I plan to move up the stakes to the $0.05/ $0.10 games and hopefully can carry on the good run!

Best of luck for the coming week,

Bob
