BAD LUCK, BAD PLAY, OR BAD TIMING

By: chucker8888 @ 11:51 (EDT) / 64 / Comment ( 2 )

lately i have playing a lot of sit and go, and satelite tournaments, as well as the poker school and 100 k privilege freerolls and i have been encountering the same issue.  I seem to do farely well and accumulate chips early and even keep them for a while.  But when it comes down to crunch time.  Lets say just before the bubble to cash or to qualify i all of a sudden start bleeding chips.  The sad part though is that i seem to always get my chips in with a strong or very strong hand, like KK or AK suited and i will get called by a player with like 6 9 offsuit and end up losing to a straight.  I know it is poker and this will happen but i am not lying when i say this has happened to me everytime in the last 6 or 7 tournaments.  Its to the point now where i get nervous and even consider throwing AA or AK away now because i have been losing with them so much against rags.

I am just wondering at this point if it is bad luck and i am going through a bad beat.  Or is it bad play where maybe im in bad position or should consider being a littler tighter with my stacks.  Or is it just bad timing where i am getting my chips in with good hands but just getting out rivered and flopped.

In any of the circumstances i am getting frustrated and either need to take some lessons or maybe hang up my cards and retire.

Im even losing early in some tournaments because of it as well, this morning i was in the 100 k privilege free roll and i had like 1700 chips, i had AK in the big blind and had one call with all others folding. i pushed all in and was called by the player who had like 1500 chips, so i now have AK and he pulled up with like 9 2 suited, it comes 6 A 2, then a J and he hits a 2 on the end to win. Then i pull KK on the next hand and get two callers cause i only have a few hundred left.  I then get beat by a 2 4 that hits a straight.  Thats just a taste of what i have been experiencing lately.

But what can you do right.  Smile and try not to through the laptop through the tv.  So what does anyone else think.  Do i just have bad luck, bad game or just bad timing.
