Cash Game Run: 10,000+ Hands

By: darkwolves @ 22:49 (EDT) / 598 / Comment ( 2 )
For the past three weeks, I have turned my focus onto chash games.  The reason for this was simple, my tournament play was not winning with enough volume or consistency.  I decided to try my hand at micro stakes 2nl full ring cash games, and I had a lot of early success.  However, a couple of good sessions does not mean a whole lot in terms of just how well I was actually doing.  So this is an update on how my chash game experience has worked out for me now that I have a little more experience under my belt.

I have now played over 11,000 hands at the 2nl ($0.01 / $0.02 No Limit) full ring cash games, and I have shown a consistant and steady profit.  Actually, my bankroll just broke $100 for the first time, so I am very excited about that.  I play a very tight aggressive style, and usually multi-table between 5-8 tables.  Generally its usually 6 or 7.  I try to only play on tables with lots of big pots to maximize my FPP gains.  Its really nice to sit down for a 2 hour session on 6 tables, make several bucks and over 10VPP.

$ Statistics
Hands:    11029
Profit:       $45.14
bb / 100:  20.46
$ / hour:   $0.87

My HEM Stats
VPIP: 11.9
PR: 7.7
3bet: 2.1
AF:  4.4

I'm really excited about keeping a number as good as 20 bb / 100 for this long.  Granted, only 11 thousand hands is not enough to be sure of any of these stats, but it is a good start.  I intend to keep playing for a while to increase my profits and hopefully get a better feel of just how well I am actually doing at this level.

I am also considering moving up to 5nl.  Probably when my bankroll hits $110 I might try it and see how I do.  I think that if I am successfull with my early attempts, once my BR hits up to $150, I might make the full switch to 5nl.  I'm really looking forward to that and the extra money it will bring in, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.  I still need to concentrate I building my bankroll a little more, for now.
