Epic battle with the mighty monkey

By: divabrae @ 13:59 (EDT) / 113 / Comment ( 0 )

My first win in the league great heads up battle with finky minkey really good player so was delighted to beat him and being a pom it was even more enjoyable as he is an aussie .The battle went back and forth he ran a bluff on the river which i picked off and i xraised another hand with a complete bluff as i had seen some off his sizing had given me a clue as too how strong he was as we had been sitting at the same table for about 100 hands before we parted ways and met again at the final table so i had some good notes on him .Great banter between the two off us which made it loads off fun he nearly picked off my xraise bluff and said so in comments i nearly died laughing .

So a couple hands later i flopped the nut flush he had limped the J7o on button i had been mixing my play up to keep  him guessing so when he bet the flop Ah 7h 5h i decided to try and play my hand like a bluff as he was stll bugged about the bluff i ran on him so i was aware ooff that so i xr small on flop he called and i check back to him he told me in the comments there is no way i have a heart he hits trips  on turn  i only call his bet then i bet the river small to nake it look bluffy he rr jams on me i call . I am pretty sure the bluff i ran on him got to him and it is what led to me winning . He is a cash game player and it showed because he was really good player he  was at the time 47th in league and has made 3 ft in a row impressive .

I have played only 20 games this month but 8 points score and a 1st place if only i had played the whole month never mind . Nice to get the win under my belt next month it would nice to improve on this month and finish higher i am enjoying the league it has been nice playing some very good players . I have learned alot thanks finky minkey for the banter . I told him when we was down to the last two tables to keep his chips warm for me and when we both reached the final table i told him it would be me and him heads up i just knew it would be the pair off us battling great fun . I really do enjoy heads up and it is just awesome when your up against a good player i knew it would be hard to beat him and my A game turned up so that was great

My thoughts and love are with the manchester victims and there families emailed stars today to see if they was starting a fund and they got back to me and said it is being talked about by management to see what they want to do but there will be a broadcast when they have news ha ve a good one guys and remember it is only poker

Good luck guys at the tables .
