MM6 #011 $11 NLH 6-max hero calling

By: fuzzmuff @ 13:39 (EST) / 296 / Comment ( 0 )

Nope, unfortunately it wasn't me doing the hero calling. Having satellited in for $3.30, maybe I played a little too flippantly, but I was still surprised at this chap calling me down with Q high for all his chips. Of course, I could have just folded T9s pf, as it my have been too loose to defend my BB there.

Anyhow, seeing the flop, I thought I was a good favourite, and going by his previous play, I was guessing he missed the flop after his small bet. Should I have played differently by just check calling his c-bet, leading out on the turn, then moving in on the river? Maybe just check raise all in on flop? Check-call the turn, and all in on river?

What about the poker maths, a weak point of mine, in this situation?

Any thoughts welcome.
