Game of Your Life

By: glnh @ 00:25 (EDT) / 225 / Comment ( 0 )
I am going to play in that $100,000 freeroll this coming Sunday.

But I also could play in the final freeroll instead.

And I wonder - whether poker is a sport too, and could I get a seat in the WSOP main event if I win it, or not (I am not talking about my friends here)?

Who is inventing these promotions? I am not a big sports fan myself and don't have many friends who are. For me, poker (and the WSOP) is the Game of My Life.

By the way, every other site is running satellites for the WSOP and PokerStars not? At least I couldn't find them.

I am not happy with the direction in which the promotions are going.

Million Dollars on TV and the Big Game with winners manually selected by the PokerStars staff were bad enough - next step would be manually selecting winners for other tournaments as well (which, actually, may be already implemented - but I am not a conspiracy theorist.)

Now, the 60 billion's hand - why was it only for cash tables? I don't play cash tables much usually, I prefer tournaments. Why did the tournament players get nothing of this? Are we the lower class players?

And the winner of the 60 billion's hand was located on the Isle of Man - what a coincidence! How many people from the Isle of Man were playing? Was he manually selected, too?

PokerStars employees and their immediate relatives can't play on PokerStars (except special invitational tourneys), but their friends can! Isn't that why friends are included in that last promotion? I wouldn't be surprised if the winner will be from the Isle of Man as well.
