Honesty is the Best Policy

As George Carlin said, "Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy."

How honest the casinos are in sense of the fairness of the games they provide?

If it is a stand-alone casino, it can afford to be dishonest - people playing there don't have any other choice. On the other hand, casinos located in such places as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, or Tunica, have an incentive to be honest - people losing "too much" can easily move to another nearby casino which leads casinos to losing profit instead of gaining it.

So, the most profitable casinos in such casino-populated places are also the most honest, and the dishonest ones don't stay long in business - they get bankrupted.

A similar situation is in the online poker field. It is even easier to switch from one site to another one playing online than moving physically from one land-based casino to another one.

From this point of view, PokerStars is the most honest one - at this particular time, for instance, there are 206,716 people playing there, comparing to 96,324 on FullTilt and 17,678 on UltimateBet.
