Going for the League on September

By: inzig @ 08:40 (EDT) / 190 / Comment ( 0 )
It's true I entered the League just for each tourney's prizes, unaware of the money you can make by accumulating points. Then I've seen not only there's a significant amount to be taken, but it's also a great tool to help improve your game. When you play with a league mind-set, you play a different game: try to give your best poker because that's the way you can get at the highest places. Calculate your risks, don't over bet your high cards, even fold good hands if you have to. Not only you start being more aware of position concerns, but you also start to follow the stage of the tourney and play accordingly. All in all it adds up to better poker, less luck. Let's see how I can perform on September!
