Hello World...

Thought I’d give this blogging lark a go. I’m aware probably no-one will ever read this but hey it’s always good to get your thoughts down, so here goes.
Last month was my first in the Open Skill League and overall I managed to finish 2862nd out of 118,000 players. The top 2000 receive prize money so I just missed out this time. However the important thing is it was a very good learning experience for me and I certainly improved as the month progressed. I played around 19 tournaments and my highest finish was 189th out of 10,000.
Amazingly this month is going even better! I’m currently running a trial version of Poker Tracker 3 and I feel it’s starting to improve my game. The difference is subtle but the software is certainly helping me make better decisions in the long run. I’ve played three tournaments so far and my two best finishes have been 32nd and 70th!  Hopefully this is down to improved play rather than blind luck, haha.
Anyway I feel confident I can finish in the top 2000 this month. Unfortunately I don’t have any VPP’s so even if I achieved my target, my prize would be pretty small.
Stay tuned.
