Continuation bet sizing

By: joshpj1 @ 06:30 (EDT) / 405 / Comment ( 1 )

So you have reasonably good cards and you limp in for the flop, the flop comes and you miss it, what do you do. if there is only a couple of other people in the hands, there is a good chance that they are in the same position as you. so it's obviously time for a continuation bet. but what size? Usually its about a third of the pot, but why just hrow out a standard c-bet. I prefer to show a little agression by betting closer to or exactly half the pot. if the pot is very small, eg two or three big blinds, then you might want to consider betting the pot size. If you get called and you miss the turn, then you should be prepared to fold to another bet.
