I'm Quitting

By: joy7108 @ 22:59 (EST) / 54 / Comment ( 1 )

Why I'm quitting the PSO Leagues...

I looked at my score this morning, and I sat at exactly 800 in the Premier league.   I've decided that this is my last month if I don't make it, I can't face another month in the Open League.  If I don't manage to stay in the Premier League this month, then I'm done.

Realistically, I'm never going to win a big prize in the league, simply because I have a life outside of poker, and I can't commit to playing 5 or 6 tourneys a day.  I have a much better chance in the Women's league, where everyone is restricted to 1 game per day.

This tends to even things out for everyone, and I find the pace of these tourneys is better suited to my style of play.  I'm kind of sorry to leave the Poker School leagues behind, but the few dollars I make on them doesn't justify the amount of time they take.  I feel I'm better off spending my time on MTT's, I have more success there.

My BR doesn't benefit much from the tiny amounts I make in the school leagues, so I think it's time for me to take the next step and try to make it in the bigger pond out there. Good luck to all of you who are still grinding it out in the Skill league, it boosted my BR when I needed it and it can do the same for you. The level of play is very different than the Skill league, you will need to make some major adjustments to your play.

I don't intend this as any criticism of the PSO leagues, I just feel it's time for me to move beyond them.  My time is beter spent elsewhere at least for now.  Update to follow, after a couple of days rest.   There's a few big tourneys coming up on the weekend that I need to concentrate on, good luck everyone.
