Goals for March & Beyond

By: met3or @ 19:58 (EST) / 329 / Comment ( 0 )
I entered PSO without any real goals or aspirations other than kill some hours on a new hobby, but after my first month here I to progress my skill I should plan to set some goals and aims to progress and potentially finish the month with a good result.

This I never would have thought possible from my first event here, but, after a month of playing and my score averaging at 1600 I feel I could push my average up to 1700 provided I continue to push a strong game.

I'd love to score a Warm Up Ticket at the end of the month, for early March, by scoring over 1550 here, that would provide a new event to challenge me and reap interesting and hopefully fruitful rewards since my cash game experience is limited to none, having only played with the money I've earned from placing ITM from Skill League games, totalling about $2.50 most of which I spent on a satelite which I placed 32nd in.  Not enough to place for any kind of prize unfortunately, but my head is held high for future games.

So, for March, I hope to push my score above 1700+, I feel slow progression is better than none, so keeping my aims realistic will avoid let down, but will be a great surprise if I push them higher than I'd hoped.  I also would like to place for a prize in the warm up, to a better event, I feel I could get some better winnings this way and pursue cash game experience, which from what I've seen is a lot different from PSO matches I've played to date.

Future plans include training for local and regional events, within the UK with the intention of ranking and perhaps getting placed in some National Events Online or Off.  I'd love the opportunity to play more live games, since I've virtually no experience there, but, I've all the confidence to pursue that and all the intention to get out there when I can.

On a side note; I can't get over how helpful and friendly a lot of PSO users are, it's a fantastic community to be apart of and I appreciate the help I've recieved from this place and it's members.  Keep the good times coming.
