Hello

Not sure if anybody is going to read this (I'm not expecting anyone to) but if you have stumbled across this thank you for taking the time out to have a read.

My name is Matt and I live in a (very) small village outside of Cambridge in the UK. I have played poker very occasionally over the past few years and when I have it has purely been on a recreational basis, i,e, I have very rarely won any decent amounts of money. However after watching plenty of the WSOP and following a selection of players on Twitter my interest in the game has heightened and I have decided to take the plunge and take a more serious interest in the game from the playing side also.

My aim is to continue to enjoy playing the game whilst also becoming more grounded in the theory and maths behing the game in order to also make it worth while financially, after all what other things can you do which provide enjoyment but also the chance to make some money? To do this I am first of all going to go through the Pokerstar Online School as my understanding of the game is very basic and feel I need to develop some of general concepts that are second nature to the majority of players out there.

I wanted to write a blog as it will allow me to document my journey through both the highs and lows, as well as providing a platform where I can seek and take on board any advice the Pokerstars Community have for me. I welcome all forms of feedback, whether it be about my blog or my playing style if you come across me at the tables.

So here's to the start of my journey, let's hope it's one that I'll never forget!

Matt
