How To Approach The New League

With the changes to the Skill Leauge that have been implimented, we are seeing much larger fields per tournament - At some times in the day the Player Count hits to 10,000 mark. So, what does this mean for us here a PSO?

Firstly, expect to see a lower standard of poker across the board - Even in the later stagest of the tournaments. A lot of the people playing the tournaments wont be registered with a School, and will just see it as a freeroll.

Secondly, be prepared to be very, very patient. The rewards for reaching the final 20% are much better and it's vastly easier to accomplish now. Nearly half of the pack will drop out within the first 30 minutes, and by the hour mark the people sitting out with begin to drop like flies. Just hang on in and pick you spot to make a move.

Don't get beaten down by a bad beat early on. It has happened to me several times this month already. You may have seen me in the forum letting off steam (which I must appologise for, I was mad, lol). Be ready to lay those Queens down pre flop to an all in raise. You're much better waiting until you have the nuts, people will call with the worst hand more often than not.

Remeber, the leauge lasts all month, not just one day. Grind it out and don't go on tilt. We're all good enough to make a decent place at the end of the month.

Best of luck fellow PSO'ers..  See you at the tables!
