I hadn't actually logged onto the forums in months. Thus, I hadn't seen all of the new features/tools that are now available. One of these ... are blogs. I've decided to keep track of my play by way of this ... let's see how well I do ...

So it's the first day of a new month. I racked up the necessary VPP's on the last day of January to make myself active for the first time since September. I can attribute that to having won the .02 cent SNG. They're horrible, but it seemed I was destined to win it as my good hands were holding up and the bad hands I didn't play would eventually flop monsters. Anyhow, on to the PSO ...

First day. Played all the scheduled tournaments. I gotta say that as a whole, I was content with my play. In the end, that's all you can really hope for.  In 4 of the 6, I finished in the top 300 ... 2 of which were approx. 50 and 100.  In all 4 of those really, I was pretty inactive, holding on for dear life throughout most of the tournament...only to be saved by timely double ups in the end. I got knocked out really early in the other ones, though I can't say I would have played the hands any other way. First, I made what I thought was a great call as I felt I had a good read on the guy and his style even though I had little history with him. I held 88's and raised after a few limpers including the villain. He pushed AI over the top and I pretty much snap called figuring I was good. Cards were flipped and he showed 66's. I was good until the turn when hit his set. Tourney over. Second, dealt QQ's in EP, raise, get called by a cpl ppl. Flop comes 10 high, lead out get RR'd AI, snap call and get knocked out by a set of 10's. So, again, can't really say I'd play it any differently. Just got unlucky. But that's poker.
