$10 - $1000 poker challenge

By: pasqua544 @ 11:54 (EDT) / 175 / Comment ( 4 )

I recently heard about this $10 - $1000 challenge and I became interested...

In the past, I have grinded my $.02 to $50 before wifi crashed during a critical 3 games of $15.00 50-50 only to get back online extremely short stacked if not yet eliminated. I had a week to try and earn enough for the $100 buy-in Anniversary game... so feel bad almost getting there but not quite.

So I know the goal is attainable... I just need some more information on it.

I take it from the Pokerstar Pro I watched, the SNG I would play would be the $.25 45 player.  I watched him play and saw he utilized poker software I don't have.  Perhaps it would be a disadvantage for me to play without it but I am not familiar with them.  So I will probably go it alone and trust my game.

As for my bankroll, I will start with $10 and keep in mind to regulate it apart from my other balance... I do still intend to play other games that have been profitable to me... The Timebomb format is to my liking and has increased my bankroll somewhat.

I still have to maintain and learn how to maintain my bankroll... sometimes I go beyond my limitations and my bankroll suffers.

I also earn tournament tickets from challenges and Pokerschoolonline so I intend to still play those and hopefully take advantage of those for payouts.  I also find the freerolls that come along and play those when I can.  While the fields are large and paouts minimal, I like the challenge they offer.

I do find that when I am on my game, I enjoy it.  I don't mind suckouts and bad beats, they are all part of the game.  It is satisfying went one has a good poker day.

So I am trying to always improve my game and one problem I have it being too anxious.  My patience is trying at times so I would on that.  And I follow the live training and enjoy picking up something new that does improve my game... just have to listen and learn.

At one time, I could not burst the bubble and now I cash so I feet I have progressed.  Now I want to see more final tables and to win a big one.  That would be nice for a guy on a fixed income.

I look forward to when I can upgrade my game from playing on a tablet to using a laptop or computer.  I look forward to have a secure internet connection and not have wifi interference in the middle of my game.  i look forward to utilizing game software as I know players use against me.

So the $10-$1000 challenge will not just be for the money, but will give me the opportunity to play better under better circumstances and ultimately for financial reward.

And when I can accomplish these, I know will have become a better poker player...

See you on the felts
