Big Bang bust

By: pasqua544 @ 12:55 (EST) / 380 / Comment ( 1 )

Thanks for the Big Bang experience...

I have been playing alot of freerolls and this one was nice and slow... which ultimately drove me nuts.  Anyway, I gave my chip stack away... it was one click I knew was a mistake.

My goal was to take full advantage of this exclusive offer and cash in at the final table... ha! didn't make the bubble.  Accumulating chips was a slow process, but I was doing okay.

Midway through, I get pocket 9's which hits a low end flop so with a flash of brillance, and instant of regard I hit all-in.  Apply some pressure tactic but high risk of greater pockets...

Like pocket 10's... why!  I knew it was a giveaway but it was too late.  I gave myself a bad beat.

I felt letdown the tournament... this was not my best poker play.  So began my self-reflection.

Yes, this year has me bursting the bubble and cashing in.  I have turned  $ .08 to $50.  I know I can win and if I want to continue I have to keep my game in check.

Sure, I want to improve certain areas aside from stragedy, like bankroll management.  I have to be more selective of my games.  I like MTT's but need S'nG's and Rings games to keep up the buy-in's so I have to schedule accordingly.  Multitasking by playing different games is disrupts my focus so I generally gave way to the game I am ahead...

Improving my game via courses, books, video.s, tutorials.  I find insight and it improves my game.  So why don't I do it more?  Back to school means getting on the bus.

One of my buy-in's was the Sunday Millions.  I played a differement game which I was uncomfortable and played chicken-poop poker. I didn't cross the road and out I went, no bubble in sight.  I know I have to adjust my mindset and forget $ entry fee.  So I shall return to the Sunday Million as my game of the week and train towards it.

Right now, I am in a freeroll league and plan to finish in the playoffs... I used the league as a development tool.  I have been seeing poker programs so I think that is the next step.

The Big Bang experience was a bust but a benefit as well.

Hoping I can get involved in Big Bang Part 2 but until then I shall work on my game...
