So long my QT...

By: pasqua544 @ 13:20 (EST) / 218 / Comment ( 1 )

QT is my pictured pet I use to play poker...

Unfortunately, I lost him and it was a rough return to poker.  The first game I entered I could not play... I was still mourning his loss.

But like any bad beat, I carry on and have returned to poker with a renewed determination.

I have make conscience decisions to improve my game on all fronts... books, internet, varying styles and decided to keep it fun.  The fun QT gave me in my life, I have applied to poker.

Patience is a vital and fortunately that has develped well in my player development.

I try not to view my losses as losses and take meaning from each session... if I have not learned anything from a session, I question myself.

Getting back into the game means more now to me than before and I have profitted... something not in cash but definitely in live games...

Some one told me Pokerstars is not good practise but in fact, it is.  On many levels too!

I can play cheap, analysizing hands and so forth with minimal risk... implied odds, value bets, etc.

I have opened up more conversation wise so playing is more fun and interesting when you meet mew people.

I do not look at pooker as gambling... now I asset risks and have learnt more about risk management...  I find poker a skill and if I want to be a better poker player, I take less gambles.

And as for QT.  I reminise with other and say how QT never went beyond his home but his picture has been worldwide.  Whenever another dog picture is at the table I say 'hi!'

"Mine's Qt" I once chatted... "What's a QT?"

My dog.  He was a cutie.

Gone by not forgotten and I will share his memory with my Pokerstar community as long as I play...

K-9 is my hand I play in memory of him and when I win with it... "woof" is what I chat.

That's my QT
