Boy did I mess up

I guess I should in a way be proud of myself because it has been a long time since I have not seen what the possible better hands could be out there but today I had a straight and completely missed the possibility of a higher one. There was no possible full house or flush but I just did'nt study hard enough. Of course at the level I am playing at I can't say that I wouldn't have called any way but since it was early in the tourney and I try to concentrate on at least making it half way through the field I feel like I would have folded if I had seen it.  It's nice to always have another chance to improve but I have to try to make sure that I have enough information to make an intelligent decision as much as possible and I won't get another chance on that one.
