School Pass Grind #11

By: rivercity121 @ 23:11 (EST) / 552 / Comment ( 2 )

Arrrgh, getting closer......

School Pass Game #11       9x $3.30 tickets

Doubled up early with KK (would be my hand of the tournament, I think I got it 4 times) vs. QT sooooted.

Hit 2 pr on the flop with QJ, shoved, got rivered by better 2 pr when KK caught a 4 on the river to pair the board, down to 900 chips.

AA       tripled up vs T9 same villian who played his QT earlier. Up to 2500 chips.

78 soooted I turn straight on a A6T9K board, shove, called by KK set and T9 2 pair, up to 5400 chips.

I fritter away 1K in chips trying to put out shortstack.

My TT beats 22 who shoves for 1500 UTG, I win 3400 pot, up to 6K chips.

88 rivered fh, bet 1/2 pot no callers. This would be a theme for much of the rest of the tournament where I would have good cards or hit my draws, but get no action.

QQ UTG+1, I hit FH on KJKQ9 board with the last 4 being all hearts. This board is so wet. Straight flush beats me, as does K paired. So I play small ball and take down 2K pot. Opponent shows straight, says "just lucky". Doubt I could have got more....

T7 I river straight on K9856 board where betting has gone check/check. I bet, get raised, I shove, called by AQ pair of nothing LOL. Up to 10K.

Blinds at 600/300. I shove TT, no callers, take down 2500 pot.

Blinds at 800/400. 40 players left at 2nd break.

A9 up against AT all ins, hoping for a chop, I river my 9 for 20K pot. Just lucky.

KK on the button, villian raises to 2500, I 3 bet to 10K, he folds. Up to 25K chips.

KK again, I call in late position, shortstack shoves 6K into 7JQ flop, I call, he shows Q 3. I win 20K pot, up to 36K in chips.

KQ sooooted I river the nut flush, no action, I win 2500 pot.

KK again, I raise standard 3BB, no action, pick up the blinds and antes.

22 I flop a set, no action, I win 6K pot.

Blinds at 2K/1K. I have KQos, flop comes 7QQ, no action. minimal pot to me.

Get moved when tables are redrawn with 18 players left.

55 I fold to big stack on my left (150K), on flop of KT9. 3 overs, I don't fancy my small pair.

3rd break 15 players left, I'm shortstacked and card dead. Big stacks have postion and are calling everything, as they should.

Blinds at 3K/1500, I get Q9 soooted on the button, I shove for 10bbs, called by big stack with A5.

I pick up a straight draw with flop of 6T7 rainbow, but A high holds, and I'm out!

Out in 15th. 549 runners, 47 rebuys, 11 addons.

Disappointing as only 9 get paid, but i think I played as well as I could.

Maybe should have been more aggressive with 3 tables left, but stack sizes and position were not in my favor.

Thanks for reading this!

Good luck at the tables!
