PokerStars SCOOP 2013 Daily Round-Up – May 24

- David ‘WhooooKidd’ Baker snags second SCOOP title
- Team Pros Nacho Barbero and George Danzer go close
- Big final weekend of action, including NL Hold’em Main Event

Latest Action

David ‘WhooooKidd’ Baker won his second SCOOP watch yesterday after topping the field in the $2,100 8-Game event to pick up the first prize of $66,560. While he was taking that down, he was also at the final table of the $2,100 NL Turbo 2x Chance, where he eventually finished third for $168,510. He has now made four final tables this series with no finish worse than third and all in $2,100 buy-in events. To date he is the biggest winning player of SCOOP 2013 with more than $500,000 in prize money.

Elsewhere, Team PokerStars Pros Nacho Barbero and George Danzer took fourth-place finishes in the $215 8-Game tourney and $2,100 8-Game tournaments respectively. Danzer now has 16 cashes this series and is second on the High and Overall SCOOP 2013 Leaderboards, aiming to catch current leaders ‘WhooooKidd’ and ‘shaundeeb’ respectively.

As SCOOP 2013 heads into its final three days, there are still nine events  (27 tournaments) to be played, including the high stakes Heads-Up tournaments (SCOOP-40), where the $215 (L), $2,100 (M) and $21,000 (H) buy-ins are likely to attract the world’s elite players; a 4-Max NL Hold’em event (SCOOP 41); and a 6-Max PL Omaha event (39) with larger-than-normal buy-ins of $55 (L), $530 (M) and $5,200 (H).

Then, of course, there is the Main Event on Sunday, May 26 at 14.30 ET. The buy-ins of $109 (L), $1,050 (M) and $10,300 (H) have guarantees of $1m, $2m and $3m, with huge first prize guarantees of $100,000, $300,000 and $500,000 respectively. Players can qualify for as little as $1.10 – log into the PokerStars client and click on ‘Events’ > ‘SCOOP’ > ‘All’ to find a huge array of satellites.
