5NL - Part 1

By: scotty200480 @ 18:36 (EDT) / 270 / Comment ( 0 )
With 2NL level successfully completed I now move up to 5NL. I haven’t played at this level since last year, if I remember, it doesn’t differ that much from 2NL. IMO 5NL is the first level where we start to run into regs, which is good, regs are thinking players, you can put them on a range, they understand SDV (show down value) and this allows us to second guess them.  They will cbet with their air and made hands, and check down hands with SDV, like 66. I might even start expanding my 3bet range; I’ll see how they respond. But as 2NL, there are a lot of bad players still, so I will be sticking to a straight forward approach with these guys.

Session1
Hands:  2403
Profit: $17.42
BR: $137.42

Here's my 5NL graph so far http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2739/5nlpart1.jpg

First session went ok, not many tough spots, and no major tilting issues which i am happy about. Its the biggest area of my game which i have been working on the hardest as it use to be my biggest leak. I basically ran average and didn't get too many of these...........
