Waiting for my Premier League Month to begin

I decided to go for a Premier League spot. Now let's see how it goes.
Send PM

Hi All

I started January with the Premier League as my main goal (as I was relegated for December and don't want it to happen again).

My first few results where fine, then "the ladder hit the snake" and my points dropped.

2014-01-04 14:00(ET)  610  143  1500.00  6.03  1506.03

Then yesterday I got a decent result and today I got some decent points.

Today I played one Premier League game and finished 41st giving me 34 points and a total of 1540 which I think is enough for me to gain entry for February.

Date  Participants  Position  Start  Scored  End

2014-01-17 08:00(ET)  400  41  1505.65  34.45  1540.10
2014-01-16 14:00(ET)  514  83  1487.13  18.52  1505.65

So, as the "title" of this blog entry is suggesting, I got a "gut-feel" goal for the rest of the month and it kinda feels right.

Here's how it happened.

I played eight  9-man stts (2xhyper-turbo 6xstandard 10min levels =   itm 7 out of 8 with 3 seconds and 4 thirds. (nice BR booster for my "mini-me" micro level that I play at this time).

I also played two 500cap tourneys itm both 57th and then 16th .

(I've really missed playing my MTTs).

I felt really confident in my MTTs today and played most of the STTs while MTTing and didn't really take much note of the "good run", I was trying to go as deep as possible in the MTTs. Now after a few hours of not playing I am actually feeling satisfied and motivated to play more MTTs (no more thinking about the PL, which is a huge weight off my shoulders).

I haven't really played MTTs for the last 3 months as I was concentrating on STTs, but I feel I can multitable (only 2) both formats and MTTs have always been my first love.

But STTs are the "worker bees", keeping the bankroll moving in the right direction.

So this will be my goal for the rest of January.

Play MTTs (+250 players up to about 3k, but mostly the smaller fields, and the odd big field one here and there), and if I am in the right frame of mind I'll play my STTs side by side.

So I got the "gut feel", and I'm going to give it a shot.

I will let you know how it went at the end of January.

Oh, and please let me know if you think 1540 points is too little. (I make silly mistakes sometimes).
